The Iron Myr card would be beneficial in a red-based aggressive deck that relies on fast mana acceleration to cast powerful spells or creatures early in the game. While Iron Myr provides red mana, there are potentially better options such as the more versatile and resilient Mana Crypt or Sol Ring, which can generate colorless mana as well.
