Illusionist's Stratagem would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on enter-the-battlefield triggers or creatures with powerful abilities that trigger upon being cast. Decks such as Blink or Flicker decks that aim to abuse these triggers would greatly benefit from this card. While there may be better options like Cloudshift or Ephemerate for more efficient flickering effects, Illusionist's Stratagem could still see play in decks looking for additional card draw and a bit of flexibility in their flickering strategy.
