Hidden Courtyard could benefit a control or midrange deck looking to generate card advantage and potentially cheat out lower mana value nonland cards. While it offers a unique ability to discover and cast cards for free, its high activation cost and the risk of exiling valuable cards may make it less efficient compared to other card advantage engines like Search for Azcanta or Courser of Kruphix, making it less likely to see play in competitive decks.
