The Forgotten Cave card would be beneficial in a red deck that focuses on mana ramp and card draw. While it provides a consistent source of red mana and the option to cycle for card advantage, there are potentially better options such as fetch lands or dual lands that provide more flexibility and consistency in mana fixing. However, Forgotten Cave could still see play in budget or themed decks where its cycling ability and mana production are valuable.

Cycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with cycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.
