Expose to Daylight is a versatile card that can be useful in a sideboard for decks that struggle against artifact or enchantment-based strategies, such as control or midrange decks. While it may not be the most efficient removal spell, the added benefit of scrying 1 can provide some card selection. However, there are arguably better options available, such as Disenchant or Return to Nature, which offer similar effects at a lower cost. Overall, Expose to Daylight could see situational play in certain metagames, but there are more efficient choices for artifact and enchantment removal.

If the chosen target becomes an illegal target for Expose to Daylight, the spell doesn’t resolve. You don’t scry 1. If the target is legal but not destroyed (most likely because it has indestructible), you do scry 1.
