A control or reanimator deck would benefit from using Diluvian Primordial, as it allows you to cast powerful instant or sorcery spells from your opponents' graveyards for free, providing card advantage and potentially disrupting their game plan. While there may be better options for specific strategies, such as Torrential Gearhulk for instant spells or Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur for sorceries, Diluvian Primordial can still be a strong inclusion in decks looking to take advantage of opponent's resources and spells.

If an instant or sorcery card you cast this way goes to a zone other than exile or a graveyard, perhaps because one of its abilities says to put it into its owner’s hand, it won’t be exiled. This is true even if the card would be put into a graveyard later that turn.
