A deck that focuses on graveyard interaction and gaining life would benefit from including Deathgorge Scavenger, such as a Golgari or Jund midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering. While Deathgorge Scavenger offers some utility with its graveyard hate and potential for life gain and temporary power boost, there are stronger cards like Scavenging Ooze that provide similar effects consistently and are more versatile in various matchups, making them a better choice for competitive play.

There’s no way to get both bonuses at once while Deathgorge Scavenger’s ability is resolving. If an artifact creature card is exiled this way, it’s a creature card and not a noncreature card.
