Copy Enchantment is a versatile card that can be beneficial in a variety of decks, particularly those focused on enchantments or looking to replicate powerful enchantments already in play. While it offers flexibility and can be a strong addition to enchantment-themed decks, some may argue that cards like Clever Impersonator provide more versatility by being able to copy any nonland permanent. However, Copy Enchantment can still find a place in decks looking to duplicate specific enchantments for strategic advantage, making it worth considering for inclusion in certain deck builds.

Copies all copiable values, to include mana cost, so if you copy Dream Leash, for example, the converted mana cost of Copy Enchantment will be 5.

If you choose an Aura, you also choose a legal permanent for the Copy Enchantment copy of it to enchant. Copy Enchantment doesn’t target that permanent, however, so it can enter the battlefield attached to an untargetable creature.

If you don’t choose an enchantment, Copy Enchantment enters the battlefield without copying anything, and it sits there with a useless ability.
