This card would be beneficial in a green-blue Merfolk tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can easily have Islandwalk enabled due to the nature of the deck having many Islands. However, there are better cards for this purpose, such as Merrow Reejerey, which not only has Islandwalk but also provides additional tribal synergy. Bull Hippo may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high mana cost and limited impact compared to other options available.
