Arrester's Zeal would be beneficial in a white aggressive deck looking to pump up its creatures and potentially give them flying for evasion. However, there are better options like Brave the Elements for protection or Emerge Unscathed for a similar effect with added protection. Arrester's Zeal could see play in a budget deck or as a situational sideboard card, but it may not be a top choice for competitive play due to its limited versatility compared to other options.

Addendum abilities of instant spells apply while the spell is resolving, not immediately after casting it. If the spell is countered, you don’t get the addendum bonus. For example, if you cast Sphinx’s Insight during your main phase, you gain 2 life during its resolution, after you draw two cards.
