A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures and generating tokens would benefit from using Archfiend of the Dross, as it can take advantage of the life loss triggered by opponent's creatures dying. However, there are better cards that offer similar effects without the risk of losing the game, such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel or Kokusho, the Evening Star. Overall, Archfiend of the Dross may not see much play due to its high risk factor of potentially losing the game.
