Huh Nam-jun, also credited as Heo Nam-jun, is a South Korean actor whose recent television work spans Disney+, Netflix, and MBC. He was born in 1993, and his screen career gained wider attention through a cluster of high-profile Korean dramas released between 2023 and 2024. Rather than being associated with one fixed screen type, his credits place him in period romance, survival horror, corporate melodrama, and a kidnapping-centered thriller. His credited characters include Kang Seok-chan in Sweet Home and Ji Sang-woo in When the Phone Rings, two roles that put him in globally distributed streaming series. This breadth is documented in the projects’ official cast listings and broadcast credits. In Netflix’s Sweet Home, adapted from the webtoon by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan, Huh joined the expanding ensemble in its later seasons as Kang Seok-chan. The series follows residents and survivors confronting a catastrophe in which people transform into monsters shaped by their desires. Sweet Home had already become a major Netflix Korean original before its second season arrived in 2023; Huh’s participation therefore connected him to an established international franchise. He also appears in the 2024 Disney+ drama The Impossible Heir, whose central conflict concerns three young people pursuing control of the Kang Oh Group, a powerful conglomerate. The series is led by Lee Jae-wook as Han Tae-oh, Lee Jun-young as Kang In-ha, and Hong Su-zu as Na Hye-won. Huh’s inclusion in that production placed him alongside a story of inherited wealth, class mobility, and corporate succession, rather than the apocalyptic setting of Sweet Home. In 2024, he took on Ji Sang-woo in MBC’s When the Phone Rings, a drama adapted from Geon Eomul-nyeo’s web novel The Number You Have Dialed. The show centers on presidential spokesperson Baek Sa-eon and his estranged wife Hong Hee-joo, after a kidnapper uses a phone call to threaten their carefully maintained marriage. Yoo Yeon-seok plays Baek Sa-eon and Chae Soo-bin plays Hong Hee-joo; Huh’s Ji Sang-woo is a police officer involved in the investigation around the calls and kidnapping. The drama aired on MBC from November 22, 2024, to January 4, 2025, while Netflix handled international streaming in many territories. Another notable credit is KBS2’s 2023 historical romantic comedy The Matchmakers, set in the Joseon period. There, Huh played Jung Soon-gu. Taken together, these dated credits show a concrete progression from supporting ensemble appearances toward prominent parts in major Korean television productions with worldwide circulation.
