Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is an upcoming epic film adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek poem, scheduled for theatrical release on July 17, 2026. Nolan wrote and directed the movie, which is being distributed by Universal Pictures. The project marks Nolan’s first feature after Oppenheimer, his 2023 historical drama about J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project. The film follows Odysseus, king of Ithaca, during his dangerous journey home after the Trojan War.
