Tod – Nimble Fox fits best in an aggressive Emerald tempo or evasive-focused deck that aims to pressure lore quickly while limiting favorable challenges from the opponent, since Evasive makes him hard to remove in combat and synergizes well with Emerald’s disruptive, tricky playstyle. He works especially well alongside other Evasive characters and cards that punish opponents for challenging or that return characters to hand, reinforcing board control through annoyance and chip pressure rather than raw strength. However, in most competitive Emerald lists, there are generally stronger or more efficient 5-cost options—such as Kuzco – Temperamental Emperor (for his strong stats and Ward protection) or other high-impact evasive threats that generate immediate value—making Tod more of a thematic or casual inclusion unless your deck specifically benefits from stacking Evasive bodies.
