While Spectral Gateguards can provide vigilance to another creature when paired, there may be better options like Silverblade Paladin which also grants double strike, making it a more impactful choice for aggressive strategies. However, Spectral Gateguards could still see play in decks looking to maintain a strong defense while attacking, especially in a limited environment where options may be more limited.
