Sharuum the Hegemon would be a great addition to an artifact-focused deck in Magic: The Gathering, particularly in a deck that relies on powerful artifact synergies and recursion. While Sharuum's ability to return an artifact card from the graveyard to the battlefield can be quite powerful, there are other cards like Master Transmuter or Scrap Trawler that may offer more versatility or value in certain situations. However, Sharuum the Hegemon can still be a strong choice for decks looking to abuse artifact recursion strategies and should definitely see play in the right context.

If Sharuum the Hegemon is put into your graveyard as a state-based action immediately after Sharuum the Hegemon enters the battlefield (most likely due to the “legend rule”) it can be the artifact card targeted by its own ability.
