A deck that focuses on controlling R.B. monsters, such as Rock Band archetype or Red Blossoms archetype, would benefit from using R.B. Next Phase due to its potent monster effect negation and life point gain. However, for a more versatile negation option, Solemn Judgment is a superior card as it does not require the destruction of a monster and can negate any card type at the cost of LP, making it a staple card in many competitive decks. R.B. Next Phase could see play in specific R.B. themed decks but may not be as universally useful as other popular trap cards.
