A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly to play high-power creatures would benefit from using Ornery Dilophosaur, as it can become a powerful attacker with its bonus ability. However, there are better cards with similar abilities in Magic: the Gathering that offer more consistent and impactful effects, such as Questing Beast or Carnage Tyrant. Ornery Dilophosaur may not see much play in competitive decks due to its mana cost and situational bonus.

If you don’t control a creature with power 4 or greater immediately after Ornery Dilophosaur attacks, its ability doesn’t trigger. If you don’t control one as the ability resolves, it has no effect. It doesn’t have to be the same creature at both times, however.

Ornery Dilophosaur gets just +2/+2, no matter how many creatures you control with power 4 or greater.
