Lys Alana Informant fits best in **Golgari (BG) graveyard/value decks** that care about self-mill, death triggers, or graveyard recursion, since it gives two surveil triggers over its lifetime (one on ETB and one on death), helping fuel mechanics like **delirium, escape, undergrowth, reanimation, or threshold-style synergies**; it also works reasonably in sacrifice/aristocrats shells where you can reliably trigger the death surveil. However, as a 1G creature with modest stats and only surveil 1 each time, it’s fairly low impact compared to stronger options like **Satyr Wayfinder** (which mills four and fixes mana), **Stitcher’s Supplier** (much more explosive self-mill in sacrifice decks), or even **Glowspore Shaman**, all of which provide deeper graveyard fueling for similar or lower cost.
