A deck focusing on black and blue mana, with a good number of Swamps, would benefit from including Jorubai Murk Lurker as it can become a solid creature with the +1/+1 boost. However, there are potentially better cards for lifelink abilities or creature enhancements in Magic: the Gathering, such as Vampire Nighthawk or Gifted Aetherborn, which offer more value for their cost and abilities. Jorubai Murk Lurker could see play in a casual or budget deck, but may not be a top choice for competitive play.

Multiple instances of lifelink on a creature are redundant. Giving the same creature lifelink more than once won’t cause its controller to gain additional life.
