The Javelin of Lightning would be beneficial in an aggressive red deck looking to apply early pressure with first strike and additional power. However, there are better equipment cards available, such as Sword of Fire and Ice or Sword of Feast and Famine, which offer more versatile and powerful effects. Therefore, the Javelin of Lightning may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.
