Groundchuck & Dirtbag would fit best in a mono-green or heavy-green ramp deck—especially Commander builds like Omnath, Locus of Mana, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, or Selvala, Heart of the Wilds—because doubling your land-produced green mana is an explosive mana engine that enables huge spells, massive X-cost plays, or overrun-style finishes the turn it survives; it pairs absurdly well with mana doublers and land untap effects. However, at six mana and doing nothing immediately beyond having trample, it competes with stronger and often cheaper options like Nyxbloom Ancient (which triples mana and affects all permanents), Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger (doubles your mana and taxes opponents), Mana Reflection, or even Zendikar Resurgent, all of which provide broader or more immediate impact, and some are harder to remove or generate value right away.
