A ramp deck featuring green and red mana acceleration spells would greatly benefit from Dragonback Assault as it offers a powerful board wipe effect and generates a significant threat with the landfall ability. While the card has strong potential, it may be overshadowed by more efficient board wipes and token generators such as Craterhoof Behemoth, which can quickly close out games in a similar deck. Strategic evaluation of its utility compared to other options and the current metagame will determine if Dragonback Assault should see play.
