A deck that focuses on aggressive red strategies and wants to pressure the opponent early on would benefit from including Combustible Gearhulk. While the card's ability can potentially backfire if the opponent chooses to let you draw cards, it can also provide a significant burst of damage if they opt to mill you instead. However, there are better cards for similar mana costs in terms of consistency and impact, such as Glorybringer or Inferno Titan, which may be more reliable choices for competitive play.

While Combustible Gearhulk’s triggered ability is resolving, no player may take any actions other than those specified by the Gearhulk. Once the opponent makes a choice, players can’t cast spells or activate abilities until after the cards are drawn or put into the graveyard and damage has been dealt (if applicable).
