Devon Sawa is a Canadian actor whose career began in childhood and has included studio films, television series, and independent projects. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1978, he first attracted attention through Canadian productions before becoming widely known in the 1990s.

He played Junior Floyd in the 1994 family comedy Little Giants, the son of Danny O'Shea in a story about rival youth football teams. The following year, Sawa appeared as the human form of Casper McFadden in Casper, adapting the Harvey Comics ghost into a computer-generated character who befriends Christina Ricci's Kat Harvey. This role made him especially recognizable to audiences who saw the film's mixture of live action and digital effects.

In 1995, he also played Scott Wormer in Now and Then, a coming-of-age drama centered on four women recalling their adolescence in 1970. Sawa portrayed Scott as the teenage character involved with Roberta Martin, played by Rosie O'Donnell in the framing period. The part demonstrated a different screen persona from the supernatural innocence of Casper.

Sawa's most prominent genre role came in Final Destination (2000). He played Alex Browning, a high-school student who experiences a premonition that Air Flight 180 will explode. After Alex and several classmates leave the plane, the survivors attempt to evade a series of deaths that appear to follow a predetermined design. The commercially successful horror film became the first entry in the Final Destination franchise, and Sawa's performance remains central to its original premise.

In the same period, he appeared in Eminem's music video for “Stan,” portraying the obsessive fan whose escalating letters and actions form the video's narrative. The video was released in 2000 and became closely associated with the song's storytelling, while giving Sawa a highly visible role outside conventional film acting.

His later credits include the television series Nikita, where he played Owen Elliot from 2010 to 2013. The series starred Maggie Q as a former assassin working against the Division organization. Sawa's character was connected to Nikita's operations and appeared across multiple seasons, extending his work into serialized television.

In 2017, Sawa joined the cast of Somewhere Between, an ABC mystery drama starring Paula Patton. He played Nico Jackson, a detective involved in a story combining murder investigation with time resetting and alternate outcomes. Although the series lasted one season, it added a network television lead to Sawa's post-film credits.

He appeared in Chucky as Logan Wheeler.
